Do something different!

One day a friend of mine asked her mother: "Mom, why do you always trim both sides of ham, while cooking?  ?” Surprised mother shrugged and said: "Well .. actually, I don’t know, my grandmother always used to do it." When they had a chance women asked elder lady why for generations in their homes they trim both sides of meat, while cooking? Does it make meat more juicy, crispy? Or maybe it adds more flavor to the dish? The eldest woman just smiled and said: "Well, when me and your grandfather got married, we didn’t have a large roasting tin and  the meat didn’t fit in ...

In motion – how avoid stagnation in life

Today's pictures are crying to heaven for vengeance – everything is flying: my hair, skirt (but did you notice how  beautiful it  looks ?;)), my  coat. While taking pictures, I couldn’t stand in one place even for a moment, because wind was blowing my  dress up, or all (literally!) my hair was flying across my face. Sometimes I took after Chewbacca;). On the one hand – it was a disaster, continuous motion, lack of stabilization, but on the other hand – stay in one place ..and last at the same point? It is possible that pictures in such situation would be better, clearer;) But saying that more "globally" such standstill, stagnation is bringing judgment on yourself. Do you know why?...

6 Style Tips On How To Wear Blanket Scarves

Scarves and blanket scarves started to show up in the shops in early autumn. Blanket scarf is simply a giant version of a scarf ,which is so big that can be used as a blanket. They’re warm, cosy, comfortable and wonderful, and it’s one of my favourite trends of the fall and winter season this year. I already have several of them, and I love using them as shawls, makeshift ponchos and capes, and yes, even a blankets. But despite how versatile they are, blanket scarves can be a real style challenge. How  should  you wear so much fabric ? and how to wrap blanket scarf around your neck? If you are looking for some ideas on how to wear the...

3 tips how to wear flared skirt

It’s nothing new. Flared skirts are known since around  the 50’s. For many years, they were returning like a boomerang but  in many different ways - below-knee length at Dior ,rock 'n roll skirt with tulle lining or leather skirt or studded skirt  fit perfectly in the rock or gothic style. They are made from different fabrics - elegant satin, tweed and wool, leather or popular neoprene. They can be combined with...

Bye Bye Autumn, hello winter….

When I was  cleaning up my  computer’s hard disk, I found my  forgotten photos. It’s not sophisticated makeover , just casual, ordinary outfit which is perfect for an autumn walk. Yes, exactly, autumn… still. And I don’t mean gloomy and rainy autumn, but this beautiful, golden Polish autumn. In the pictures you can see trees still bedecked in leaves which are turning yellow. I love this time ...

In passing. Implicite learning.

Have you ever wondered whether we're cool because we have nice friends, or maybe it is other way round: we are so cool and because of that we attract cool people? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Definitely let me know if you know the answer ;). Jak znacie odpowiedź, koniecznie dajcie mi znać;) No matter if you are great and you attract similar people or if you were just lucky to meet unique friends, it all boils down to the fact that we always learn something from each...

Harmony. Work – life balance or work –life integrity ?

Balance in fashion is really important for me. Usually I choose one expressive element and I add toned base as a background. Today I chose sensual high split pencil skirt by Atelier Edith which exposes leg in a seductive way. The rest is less flamboyant - oversized, warm sweater and beige accessories that almost “blend into” my skin. An oversized sweater and elegant, "office" skirt? Sweater is perfect for the current “sweater weather”  (what you can...

How to wear bell/ trapeze dress ?

Bell dress – it’s for romantics, this in A - line- for minimalists and trapeze dress - for fans of mathematics and classics;) It all comes down to the fact that this dress is widening from the shoulders to the hem. The history of trapeze dress begins in the fashion house Dior - when the designer decided to create an outfit in a  shape of the letter A and thus departed from strong emphasizing the waist. Such cuts were heavily promoted by Polish La Mania. Victoria Beckham also took a liking to this cut. I’m not surprised because once she said: ” I dress sexily – but not in an obvious way. Sexy in a virginal way.” I think I would describe this dress exactly like that...

5 tricks to make your legs look longer in ankle boots

Low-heel ankle boots are one of the most comfortable types of shoes for autumn. They are warm and comfortable, but rarely they look exceptionally. If you have high heel ankle boots then your legs get additional cm( it’s such  a clever trick ;) ), otherwise legs don’t always look favorably. But it doesn’t mean that your legs have to look bad ;) Here are some of my tips :)   Botki na niskim obcasie to jeden z najwygodniejszych typów obuwia na jesień.
